Knockout Roses
Knockout Roses are one of the warriors of my garden, blooming well into October after a gorgeous surge of blooms began back in May here in New York. They are low maintenance, have a vibrant pinkish cherry red color and a sweet perfume.
In 2000, the All America Rose Selections committee named William Radler’s original red Knock Out® shrub rose as one of its winners and it quickly became the best-selling new roses on the market. They will soon approach the sunset of their season, next spring I will post on planting and care. For now, enjoy their last hurrah of 2016!
“That which God said to the rose, and caused it to laugh in full-blown beauty, He said to my heart, and made it a hundred times more beautiful.” ~Rumi
